In the aftermath of Hurricane Maria a nonprofit organization called Tainas Unidas was born from a group of grassroots leaders that began relief efforts in their community. Javier was one of their first volunteers in helping to organize donations coming in, packaging, inventory, and shipping. He is still contributing to relief efforts with Taina Unidas.
